4 Magical Reasons to Love Your Body

bodylove

A few weeks ago I posted 4 Magical Reasons to Love your Brain, and since I don’t want to leave out the rest our body, I decided to share some reasons why loving our bodies creates magic.

1. It makes you more attractive. If you love your body, you carry yourself differently.  You walk and move differently. People can sense it and no matter what you look like, you become more attractive to other people. When someone loves who they are, I’ve noticed that they have a glow about them that makes them beautiful even if they aren’t good-looking in the classic way.

2. It helps you heal. The power of love is healing. You don’t have to be a Reiki Master or any other type of healer. Just sending loving thoughts to you body can heal it. Carol Hanson, the creator of Lighten-Up, healed her body and lost weight just by loving her body every day. She said she had cursed her bad arm for years and all it needed was love. Your body needs to feel loved just like you do.

3. It makes it easy to lose weight. When you love your body as it is, you release resistance and losing weight becomes almost effortless. Lots of people who did this experiment in Pam Grout’s book E-squared found that they lost weight without consciously changing anything except their thoughts.

4.Our body and the cells it’s made from are intelligent. Our thought send signals to our cells and they respond to what we are feeling. Science has proven that each cell is intelligent and responds to our thoughts. Our cells have to operate on a higher level when we send them love than when we send them hate or disgust.

Take the time and effort to give your body the love is deserves. Thank it for being your vessel in this lifetime. I rave that my body has done so well overlooking many negative thoughts I’ve had in the past and yet it remains healthy. If you are experiencing illness, don’t take it out on your body or judge it as a failure. Just keep sending your body love and focusing on telling a new story of how you feel a little bit better everyday.  Tell your cells that you have faith in them, that they know how to help you heal. Work together with you body.

I’d love to hear you comment or any experiences you’ve had with sending your body love. To prove it, I’Im giving away one of my Angel Card readings (see service page) to one of my commenters during the month of June. I’ll put everyone’s name in random.org and choose a winner to be announced here around July 1st. Then I’ll email the winner with the details if I have access to their e-mail or you can check back here around the first and e-mail me if you’re the winner.

Love and Transformation,

Michelle

  • Very good. I was in a hurry to leave out this morning. I thought “I will read the rest when I get back.” but this post was so good I could not stop reading it until the end.

  • Alethea Eason says:

I grew up in a family culture that hated the physical. It’s very hard for me to love my body, but I have been resolving to try to heal myself at the deepest root, praying and asking for guidance that the early messages I received, that I believe are the “germs” of a hot of auto-immune issues I have lived with all of my life, will be healed. Your article was a nice synchronicity to find.

Althea, Good for you! decided to do it is the biggest step and you’ve already made that one. Just let yourself love your body a little more everyday. You don’t have to change those beliefs overnight. Tell yourself the story of your cells working to heal you and nuture yourself as much as you can. Please feel free to post here or e-mail to get support if you need it. Many blessings, Michelle

I love this article Michelle! It’s true that love conquers all. I have an experience that proves it. For the last at least 13 yrs., my teeth have been very sensitive to cold. I couldn’t brush my teeth with cold water, it had to be warm. Almost year ago, my teeth started hurting a lot, for apparently no reason. They would hurt even if I wasn’t eating or drinking. It would get so bad that I felt like just crawling into bed and crying. This went on for about a month. I started to get worried and decided I had to see a dentist.

One day when the pain was so bad, I was compelled to go to the bathroom mirror and look at my teeth and at that moment I felt so much gratitude for each one of my teeth. I had never liked my teeth much, but at this moment my whole being was filled with love, appreciation and gratitude for my teeth and that they were my own, not false ones. I thanked them for serving me well my whole life.

In that instant my teeth stopped hurting and haven’t hurt since and the neatest part was that after all those years of my teeth being sensitive, I can now brush my teeth with ice cold water with no problem at all. It’s unbelieveable! The power of love and gratitude is amazing!

As I appreciate and love other parts of my body, they seem to be getting better and nicer looking too. Love is a powerful medicine!
Thanks for this wonderful reminder to love our wonderfully made bodies.
    Love and hugs, Nina

I love, love, love this story! Thanks so much for sharing! It’s a great reminder that while healing sometimes takes a little time, it can happen in an instant when we love and appreciate our bodies. Wonderful!

Love the positive message here–have spent so many years sending my body condemning thoughts for not being slender enough–now I know to hold every big, abundant, part of it in gratitude and a circle of light and heart love!!! Thank you for writing your piece!!

Barbara, You are welcome! I loved how I read about Carol and when she started loving her body she was finally able to lose weight. I love that you are circling your body in light in heart love. That sounds wonderful! I’m sure your body will soak up that positive energy. 🙂
