Failure Does Not Exist Unless We Claim It by Ken Haberman

I connected with Ken though our blogs about a year ago and I love what he has to say on his  He has graciously agreed to do a guest post for Daily Alchemy, so without further ado, here’s Ken:
Failure Does Not Exist Unless We Claim It By Ken Haberman

Think about this. How can we fail? Perhaps by goofing up?

Definitely not. Many of our greatest discoveries were invented by goofing up. This includes penicillin. As we learned in grade school history, Christopher Columbus came to America by goofing up. He had a very different destination in mind.

A flower releases many seeds to the wind. Very few of the seeds create new plants. Does the flower fail because so many seeds do not bloom into plants?

Of course not. There is no such thing as failure in nature. There are only results. This is also true for us. When we are sincere in our efforts, EVERYTHING is a success!  Every single thing we do either leads us to discover our core desire or leads us to the manifestation of our core desire. Or perhaps the manifestation of something even better than our core desire. That happens quite often too.

When we don’t like our results, that is not failure. That is simply a signal to do something different. Failure is a false concept. It doesn’t exist unless we claim it. If we claim failure, we bring it to life ONLY in our own mind. Objectively, there is no failure.

We may like our results. We may dislike our results or we may be indifferent to them. However, we do not fail unless we claim failure. Why would we want to do that?

    It’s all a matter of perspective…
Thank you for the guest post, Ken!

I agree. It reminds me of Wayne Dyer’s take on failure.

“I suggest you consider a radical idea. What if there is no such thing as failure? Failing is a judgment that we humans place on a given action. Rather than judgment, substitute this attitude: You cannot fail, you can only produce results. Then the most important question to ask yourself is, ‘What do you do with the results you produce?’”
