Kill All the Things or Be Magic

I’m on Day 20 of the Whole 30 eating plan. If you aren’t familiar with it’s 30 days of cutting out sugar, artificial sweeteners, legumes, grains, dairy, preservatives, etc. Basically cutting out the crap and potentially inflammatory foods and eating real healthy food.
And it’s hard.
Moment by Moment, I’m having to chose my focus.
The Whole 30 peeps have this handy calendar to help you figure the emotions you may go through during the 30 days.(see above)
Apparently, I made it through the kill all things phase a while back and I just need to let my brain know. I should clearly be in Tiger Blood by now!
So why am I doing this and what does it have to do with alchemy.
This year I’ve had health challenges and I’ve been focusing on changing how I think about and how I treat my body. I’m realizing that spiritual transformation can’t leave out the physical. 
They support each other. Physical health supports our ability to focus on our spiritual growth and spiritual growth helps heal our bodies. 
I had this desire to leave out the physical part and manifest health while eating junk food.
I’m not saying it can’t be done but it didn’t work for me. My naturopath finally told me no amount of acupuncture and herbs can counteract living off of chocolate and coffee. 
So I’ve been asking myself “What can I eat that will make my body feel loved and nurtured?”
I can’t answer that question for you but so can tell you how I’m finding my answers.
3 Steps to Finding Your Best Way Of Eating (or anything else):
1. Remember you’re just looking to find right “now’s” answer. It can change next year or next week.
2. Ask for guidance. Journal. Mediate. Look for signs and follow your intuition.
3.Take action. When I kept getting the message that for now my body needed a rest from sugar, grains, dairy and soy, I wanted to say “No, thanks! I’ll keep looking until a find a better way.”  The universe literally just put it in my face so many times that I finally had to say yes.
Saying yes did give me moments that make me want to kill all things but I am also feelings tons of energy and a much happier gut. The actions needed to get where we want to go aren’t always easy.
While I needed to shift my mindset into that person who is healthy and loves living in her body, I, also, had to take inspired action. Day by Day, I feel less like killing all the things and more like a strong and magical being.
